Millions set for online meditation
The live global meditation event, led by Deepak Chopra, is taking place this Sunday, March 29 at 4pm (UK time).
A renowned doctor, author and self-help guru, Chopra’s books and mediation teachings have made him one of the best-known figures in his field.
In conjunction with THE WELL (a wellness members’ club in New York) and Chopra present H(OM)E, millions of people from their individual homes around the world are set to be brought together.
The event is aimed at uniting people in a powerful and meaningful experience. These uncertain times are bringing a heightened anxiety for many people.
When many of us can’t go outside, we come together to look inside.
Chopra will guide participants through a mantra-based meditation via livestream.
He is also the founder of The Chopra Foundation, a non-profit entity for research on wellbeing and humanitarianism.
THE WELL and Chopra share the belief that when enough people come together with the same intention, positive results follow.
“During this trying time, when so many of us are isolated from one another, we’re proud to partner with THE WELL to create a connection across the globe,” says Tonia O’Connor, CEO of Chopra.
Rebecca Parekh, co-founder and CEO of THE WELL adds: “THE WELL seeks to empower people to take greater agency for their health, helping them understand their wellbeing from a whole body perspective.
“It is my hope that H(OM)E will remind people of the ways in which we are so deeply interconnected and that to care for our whole selves means to care for our whole society.”
Sunday’s event is free for anyone to join from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device.
